Welcome to Starbase 24
Home of the Federation/Klingon Rapid Response Fleet.
Starbase 24 is a completely not for profit organisation. We don’t charge for membership, and all profits raised by our activities go to Macmillan Cancer Support, a charity we are very proud to be affiliated with.
We are an independant group of Star Trek fans (a Star Trek club if you like, although we're not that formal). Our message board is a friendly place for Star Trek related chat, but we also meet up at events, including those that we run ourselves. We have worked with Leicester Space Centre on Star Trek themed weekends but our flagship event is the Starfleet/Klingon Banquet that since 2005, has raised over £11,500 for Macmillan Cancer Support.
So whether it's joining us at our next event, or just dropping by our forum, we look forward to meeting you.
The Starbase 24 Charter
The mission of Starbase 24 is to provide a friendly fun Star Trek experience, and to promote the ideals of fellowship and charity promoted by Gene Roddenberry’s vision.

To provide a free and accessible forum for anyone to discuss Star Trek
2a) providing an open forum, complete with newsletters, in which respectful and open discussion is encouraged.

2b) a fun and invigorating role-play experience in which participants are encouraged to generate their own characters, and use them to interact with those of other characters.
2c) an environment in which all content is appropriate for families, including language of posts, role play content and images shared.
3a) to provide an open forum for other star trek groups to reasonably advertise their events or meet ups.
3b) to direct interested parties to the above when looking for new local events and conventions.
3c) to take part in fun, collaborative projects with other groups which achieve mutual goals.
We are not a fan club in the sense that members have to sign up (although it is necessary to register to post on the forum). Everyone is welcome at our forum and at our events, regardless of other clubs or groups they belong to. Everyone is encouraged to submit ideas and thoughts.
Our command team are a group of individuals who facilitate before, during and after all our events and projects. Access to this group is given at the discretion of the heads of the team – Kehlan and the Admiral.
Allies and Affiliates
We enjoy good relations with almost every fan club in the UK and even some beyond, and we will happily consider collaborating on any Star Trek fan project. However, we do not wish to become a permanent part of a larger fan club, and intend to retain our autonomy for the foreseeable future.
By the same token, if asked we are only too happy to advise or assist you if you are running a fan club or trying to set up an event or meeting. We are also thankful for any promotion of Starbase 24 events, especially our banquet. That being said, we have no desire to take over/assimilate your club as a chapter or sub group of Starbase 24.
We have a sister club, the USS Obready in the Eastern townships of Canada and enjoy close friendships with other groups in the UK, most notably Region 20 of Starfleet International. These clubs remain completely independant of Starbase 24 but enjoy a special friendship for the mutal support and benefit of all involved. We are also happy to hold out the hand of friendship to any other group or club that wishes it.
Starbase 24 would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who made this website possible, in particular, John Borda for creating and maintaining the site. A big thank you also to our command team who help keep things running smoothly.
We would like to give special thanks to Sarah Harris and Ke'reth epetai Makura, as well as Dave Mettlesits and Enterprise Dave of DeviantArt who have not only allowed us to use their work, but have created images especially for us.
We'd also like to thank those talented people whom we have been unable to contact but whose work appears here.
